Recollection of Neil Ross:
Held in London, ON. Broadcast on Western U radio. Gushers (individual wine boxes) had become a tradition by then. When the moment came, we all grabbed one from the fridge. The tops were to be torn off with one's teeth and the box crushed to drive the wine down one's throat. Unfortunately for Pete, there was a tomato juice box on the same shelf and when he tore the top off, tomato juice slashed across his beautiful croation linen shirt. It was devastatingly funny! Also, Mike Northcott was attending another awards party at the college and was not at the party. It was becoming obvious that he was a possibility to win the cup. Of course, if he wasn't present, he couldn't claim it. We all began to wonder. But finally, he arrived and did in fact win it. A close call.
